I just got an idea...


Today while at a friends house, I had him check to see if my two bot accounts were online, but when he looked at his friends list they both showed as offline. I was disappointed because I thought they must've d/ced and paused.

I got home to see that my bots were in fact running well, but I opened the friends list on both of them to see at the top in red writing *Battle.net is unavailable*(or something along the lines of that)

I'm not sure if there's a way you can purposely make that happen(asides from having a massive lag spike or something) but it sure would be convenient to show as offline if I'm botting overnight or just in general botting while AFK so nobody will whisper me.

you can't hide in wow, there is no invisible mode in friendlist

i use the function with mIRC that u can check you status / reply whispers / shutdown bot and more. very good if someone whisper you etc. this was not a answer to your question just a tips

I know there's no real way to hide it but if you can replicate that, it's a good way to keep friends from bothering you since they will just see your real ID offline

Maybe there's another server which wow is connecting to (realid server?) and to which you can interrupt the connection?

Through your AV, hosts-File or whatever... hmm....

If you know the exact adress of the RealID/Battle.net server, you could just add this to you hosts file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts) and redirect it to another adress, so that WoW doesn't get access...
Just try and add the line

127.0.0.1 battle.net

maybe it'll work.

I'm sure there's some way you can manually make the battle.net part d/c...

I notice that whenever my internet gets a huge lag spike(which isn't often but it happens) and I don't get d/ced from wow but it just hangs up for a while, afterwards the battle.net is unavailable and I'm not able to see my friends list nor does anyone see my Real ID online. I'm not sure if they see my character online(if they have it on their friends list) but it's worth checking out.
